This Apex 107115 Action Enhancement Kit is a drop-in package that combines their Action Enhancement Trigger with their SD VE Spring Kit. No gunsmith needed – just a punch and a little patience.
What you get: a noticeably smoother pull weight that drops from the factory’s 8-9 pounds down to around 5-6 pounds, less pre-travel before the break, a crisp reset you can feel, and less over-travel after the shot. The result is a trigger that’s still heavy enough for duty or concealed carry – nobody’s turning your SD into a hair-trigger race gun – but it’s clean, predictable, and repeatable. That makes a difference when you’re running drills at the range or if you ever need it for real.

It’s still a striker-fired pistol, so don’t expect a 1911 trigger, but it’s about as good as you can get without sending the slide off for machine work.
