How does the modular system work?
The serialized Fire Control Unit (FCU) is the registered firearm. You can purchase different SIG grip modules and complete slide assemblies in various sizes and calibers (like .357 SIG or .40 S&W) and install them onto your FCU without a new transfer.
What ammunition does it run best with?
Based on our range testing, it runs flawlessly with standard 115gr and 124gr FMJ and JHP. We noted one hiccup with a specific 147gr subsonic load during testing, so stick with proven duty or defensive rounds for critical use.
Is it optics-ready?
Yes. The slide is milled from SIG Sauer to accept a variety of micro red dot footprints. You will likely need a specific adapter plate for your chosen optic model, which are widely available.
